I got my new Limited just before Thanksgiving and have driven it from Dallas area to Chicago, then later to Phoenix, and then Salt Lake City. I have about 11,500 miles on it already. I think I know it pretty well by now. Right now I am about 50/50 about having bought it. I love the good stuff but have too many little things that I do not like. I had a 2005 and drove it for 210,000 and loved it.
some of the worst problems I have, is when I start it and put it in reverses it will JUMP back wards and I have to see that this is fixed, It could cause a serious accident. I get the WIND noise like the driver side window is left open just a bit and can't stop it. I was in Colorado at about 7,500 feet and wanted to pass a slow truck. No matter what I did, pushing the power surge button, stomping on the gas or what ever I could never pass the truck which was going about 50 miles per hour. NO power and I have the new six cylinder 2WD I couldn't get it to move fast enough. The transmission will change up and down and bug me. I can feel it when I am going up hill changing all the time. I drove mostly about 65 MPH and hardly ever hit 20MPG didn't like that. Brakes seem spongy. I feel like it is low on fluid, but it isn't. These are things that could cause me problems. A few minor bugs are , I HATE BLACK INTERIORS, as I grew up in the desert southwest and it was torture in the summer time. I was in Arizon and they hit 91 and it was so hot inside the truck, not enough insulation for a black interior, and I have a silver paini on it. I hate it and if I had the money I would rip out all the black. I bought the Limited as it was the only one with a two tone leather set. I have to take medicine serveral times a day, and I used to keep it in the center console storage box. NOt now. Nobody can get in the stupid thing as the door won't open very far and you have to stop, get out and then reach in if you want something. One last thing I don't like the GPS they have on it. It is very mediocre. I have had other vehicles and they had great ones, this one is just basic and that is all.

What do you have to say about your new LIMITED. Have you had any of the more serious problems with yours? SOme of them worry me until I can get them fixed. Would you buy yours again after having it for a while?

It sounds as thou you have too many irreconcilable differences with your truck.
If I were you, honestly, I'd get a divorce.
Life's too short to be aggravated by things you CAN do something about.
    Cheers!

I have the limited. I also have little issues. But have no regrets on the purchase. Transmission issues seem to have gone away now. I don't have any issues with shifting. Has not slipped once since hitting over 1,500 miles. Few small rattles but nothing turning on the radio or talking won't cure.

This puzzles me a little. Mine will go from 45 to 80 in a blink of an eye, granted I have not tried it at 7500 feet. It is definitely a touch slower to 10 or 15MPPH than my 2012, but after that it will shit and get.

Sounds as though you're low on transmission fluid. If this is the case your truck will drive much better once it has been filled but you've driven a lot of miles on it. As far as the gps I just use my iPhone and use waze. You don't get a display but the audible instructions work just fine for me.

I don't care for the seats in the truck. They are not terrible but slightly on the narrow side. Seats in a Tundra, Titan or Ram are much more comfortable. On other midsize trucks I also have issues with the seats.

I test drove the limited, for the price and for what little you get over the TRD OR, it makes no sense. Bigger shinier wheels? Most people buy aftermarket wheels here anyway. Painted Fenders? Get the black tupperware painted for cheap.... Suspension on the limited is also nothing special. Hitachi Shocks... big whoop. The leather felt cheap to me.

Does the Limited have better NVH and sound insulation compared to the other models?

I'm with you . If luxury in a truck is what you want then step up to a full size. You'll pay more, but you'll get comfort luxury and plenty of power. Gas mileage will suck especially with a Tundra, but I think you will find it to be a better fit for you.

The farkles have started and on order
I wanted a TRD but the dealer gave me a price on the Limited that I could not turn away from. I ended up getting the Limited for less than a TRD sport. Yes I have to agree with Smitty, shocks big whoop, I am waiting to hit my first service then I am going to get Boss 2.5 suspension from Toytec. Interior is nice, I like the leather and JBL radio, it is much better than my 14 radio was. as for issues with it, I had low trans fluid from the factory that has been fixed. I have a slip between 2 and 3rd gear when it is cold. When my Entune updated it screwed up my radio and was resetting all the time. When I figured out it was the Entune and also re-paired my phone all seems good now. As for mileage I drive 2-3 miles to and from work so my mileage is only at 17 mpg. When I drove on the small trip I did see 18 mpg. so a little disappointment on mpg. This is my 5th Toyota and like this on the best so far.
