    When returning from a trip I like to open the hood to release heat from the engine. But the HOOD AGAR light stays on for approximately 20 minutes then goes off. If I open a door and close it the HOOD AGAR light comes back on, is this normal ??

    If I am going to have the hood open for a while I close the latch with a big screwdriver. Pull the release as normal before closing the hood.
