Every Alabama fan is hoping that a 6-1 Florida gets to the SECC over a 6-2 Tenneessee (even though UT would have the head-to-head) because I'm pretty sure Knoxville would simply explode.

If they don't reschedule, a 3-way tie wouldn't be possible because Tennessee will not have played as many SEC games as the rest.

Yes, I meant if UF did play the full schedule. I think they should have to play somewhere somehow because of all the ripple effects this could cause.

They are looking at potential make up dates now. However, UF's reason for not wanting to move the game to Baton Rouge is the same reason LSU doesn't want to make it up on the suggested date. The loss of home game revenue. Also playing it on the suggested date will give LSU three straight SEC road games in a 12 day period.

Obviously I have no idea if this would work or if it's possible... but if it is... The SEC should step in and add some motivation for both teams to find a way to play the game by saying that neither is eligible for the SECC if they don't play 8 SEC games.

It won't happen. The SEC dropped the ball bigtime on this one

    What's the suggested date?

Why didn't they just push it to Sunday? Storm won't be anywhere near by then.

I believe the thought was that even though the storm would have passed, there could be a lot of damage in surrounding areas which would cause transportation issues, plus there would be better uses for State Troopers and others than to facilitate a football game.

I also think Florida would love to skip the game all together and have a leg up on making it to the SECC.

I'd love to see UF edge out UT for the east if that's what it came to. Simply because of UT heads exploding. It would be great up here where I live.

Apparently there is a "lost-revenue insurance policy" in the SEC now after last season's LSU/SC game.

    Head unit. That's it.

I think Alabama had scheduled 3 away SEC opponents in a row a few years back...

Normally I despise UF and want them to lose at all cost but as cocky as the UT fans have been It wouldn't bother me for this. Hell I got sick of hearing them saying we both threw hail Mary's. Eason's pass was a beautiful pass that was on the money. Not a Hail Mary.

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Forget the College Football Playoff. A majority of respondents to a recent poll in the Buckeye State believe Ohio State could jump a level and beat an NFL team.

According to the results released this week by Public Policy Polling, 62 percent of those polled said the No. 2 Buckeyes would beat the struggling Cleveland Browns, while only 23 percent picked the professionals in a hypothetical meeting.

Ohio State coach Urban Meyer's team has certainly looked like an NFL-caliber outfit over the past few seasons. It produced five first-round selections in this year's draft and 13 rookies who are playing in the NFL this season.

Ohio State appears to have another bumper crop of future pros on hand this season. The Buckeyes have steamrolled to a 4-0 start, and they are heavily favored against Indiana on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Browns are mired at the bottom of the NFL and again struggling to generate any sort of positive momentum.

Either way, the people made it clear which team they would back. Only 7 percent of those polled have a negative opinion of Meyer, unofficially making him the second-most popular person in the state behind only Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James.

They didn't call off the FSU game in Miami. I think it got hit a little less than Gainesville, but you could make that argument for South Florida.

FSU game won't have state troopers.

Seems to me like there could have been solutions here that would allow the game to be played.

The Florida AD and the SEC offices drug their feet on it and the clock ran out.
