2016 NCAA Football Thread

In general, I agree. Maybe I should rephrase and not say the championship game. But the college football playoff, yes. PSU and USC two of the hottest teams (aside from Alabama) down the stretch and didn't disappoint.

It's easier to say this in hindsight though haha.

 

The James Madison Dukes are the champions of the FCS. They beat Youngstown State on Saturday in Frisco, Texas, by a 28-14 score. The Dukes claimed their second title ever and their first since 2004. The Penguins fell short of a fifth title, after they won four under Jim Tressel in the 1990s. Their bid to become the first three-loss champion since Richmond in 2008 came up short, because the Dukes were simply too much.

JMU’s title comes in the first year under a new head coach, Mike Houston. He took over after two playoff seasons in a row under Everett Withers, who’d left to take the head coaching job at FBS Texas State. Houston made some changes, and they worked. JMU was a juggernaut all season long.

As much as I am of the SEC......my money is down on Clemson, with the spread of course

 

ill be kinda surprised if both teams together put up 34 pts (unless our defense puts it up)

 

Alabama loses by 3 or 10.

If by 3, its a late field goal by Clemson.
If by 10, its a late pic 6 or fumble return by Clemson when Jalen Hurts tries too hard to make something happen in the 2 minute drill.

For the first half of the video I wasn't even sure who the video was hyping. Shouldn't Clemson be the up-and-comer (Ali) is this scenario?

You could hear the boos raining down from Clemson fans when Steve spurrier was announced.

 

Which I don't understand.

He was a great player and a good coach (till he ditched his team).

 

It's because he owned them for about 6 straight years
