I called my dealer here in Canada (Vancouver) for anyone interested. They quoted me $586 for the hood. $871 (Canadian dollars) with all the bits needed to make it work, plus paint. They thought paint would be $350-400 so about $1250 with paint.

Curious why all the love to spend a fair chunk of change for a non functional bit.

Do folks just like the look that much?

At least on the Hilux its open to hit the intercooler mounted under it.

    Because it's purdy? :D
I personally wouldn't spend the money to buy one just for the hell of it, but if my hood got damaged somehow, I'd probably replace it with a skewp'd hood. Or not. I dunno.

People pay way more to put on a lift & wheels/tires to mall crawl or "off road" on graded trails.

Don't understand the hate on the skewp. To each his own, I like the look of both, prefer the skewp.

Almost. Except mine actually do something. You know, like intermittent wipers and a backup camera/mirror. PnP into OE wiring already in the truck.

You have to remember, my truck is the poor man's version. I have 4 lugnuts less than most around here and a real key. :D

Don't get me wrong. I've spent money on vehicles that were purely cosmetic. Just not ones that say 'performance' when everyone knows you're just kidding.

I dunno if non functional is an apt description....never heard of a skewped taco with the hood vibrato.

Jeff. Your diagram shows part 76184 that is not in your parts list. Similarly, your parts list shows part 76185 that is not in your diagram. Why the discrepancy?

The 5- or 6-digit numbers listed in parts diagrams are not part numbers (they're part name codes, or PNC's), and the part numbers listed are not the part name codes. When they are the same or similar, it's like a happy little coincidence. The part number for PNC 76184 is 78185-04010.

It's a Windows terminal application. There is a graphical user interface for the system as well, but even if you know both systems well (I do), the text-based system is quicker to use 90% of the time.

Can some one show us price level 10 of that Reynolds parts screen? Price level 1 is MSRP (at least by default)

Price levels are set by the dealer. What is 10 for you?
