    I agree.

I have a 125k warranty and I'm still dumping this thing. The warranty is transferable, but I already feel sorry for chump/fanboy.

Timing cover leak passenger side in my 2016 v6 with 16,000 miles. 4-5 day fix is happening now. Covered by warranty but wondering this is part of higher mileage drivetrain warranty. Dealer appears to be doing their job but very disappointing to have this happen, appears to be a Toyota problem.

First year of new generation is always going to have some issues and recalls. 2005 Tacomas has a ton of issues. Even after a whole generation and into the next, Toyota had massive issues and recalls with frames rusting and even in mild snow and salt climates. It was one of the reason I sold my 1st gen even though the frame was fine.

There’s a agriculture consultant who drives 5k per month on his 16’ TRD off-road 4x4, has over 125k miles, and seems to be doing fine....

Anyone know if there's a TSB or recall on this?

I've searched and only found a recall on the leaking rear diff for 220,000 vehicles.

I had Valve cover gasket replaced on my 2016 TRD Offroad 4 X 4 due to oil leak at 35000 miles. At 47000 miles and have discovered oil leak again. Service center was unable to pinpoint so have put some dye in the Oil. Was told to drive till after the Holidays. Anxious to see where the leak is this time. Glad I purchased the extended warranty just in case.

I don't think there are any TSBs or Recalls for it.

I bet it is timing chain cover leaking oil. Very common on 16/17's. Had mine resealed at 40K. Not surprised as these V6's are assembled in 'Bama, Roll Tide.

Would this timing chain cover leak be covered by the 6yr/60K engine warranty?

TBH I think this is a normal characteristic of Toyota v6 and v8s. I've had 3 3rd gen 4runners, 4th gen 4runner V8, currently own Lexus GX470. ALL of them had leaking valve covers. I fixed a couple of them, left a couple alone.

Edit: If it's the timing cover please disregard my post.
