2016 Order Dates

usually 3rd party services are excluded for a few months after a new gen is released and on top of that, they usually have to wait until dealers start getting them to offer them.

 

I would like to know as well. I went to a dealer to ask this very question and never could get a straight answer from them.

 

as long as the dealer has all of the pricing info, which they should by now, you can negotiate. however, most dealers are probably not going to negotiate a ton on a car that just came out. as far as financing and leasing, they probably don't have any programs yet

 

Yeah, I figured any negotiation would be negated by the simple fact of supply and demand. A lot of people will be in line and willing to pay close to MSRP for the next generation. Similar to what people were paying for the TRD Pro. That's why I was hoping to rely on USAA to get me as close to invoice as possible.

 

Even through a car buying service the dealer still sets the parameter. You're better off finding someone who knows a manager at a Toyota store and getting a deal

 

What do you mean by "sets the parameter?"

How do I go about finding someone who knows a manager? Just hope someone like Jaque in the post above is in my area and willing to give a stranger a deal on a brand new vehicle?

 

Have they given you all any more info than has been publicly released about it yet?

 

I got to drive a "prototype" at the NY Auto show but only around a parking lot so couldn't really get a feel for it. All I can say is it has an amazing turning radius

How was the interior room with the sunroof?
Did you check out the rear seats? Is their more room back there?

 

I'm actually doing that on my order. The dealership participates in the TrueCar, and has promised to honor USAA pricing. Price negotiation occurs at time of delivery, so I won't know what my truck will actually cost until it arrives.

Hopefully, I can get my order entered by the end of the month. Fingers crossed!

I'm from Santa Cruz and have had a few bad experiences with our local toyota dealer. If you can honor that pricing I would definitely order from you, provided someone picks me up at the airport!

 

I know a GM at a dealership and this was the same info I got from him.

Sound advice. I'd negotiate certain over invoice. No doubt the new trucks are going to be a price increase and in demand.

Do we know if the TRD Sport is available w/ leather seats?

 

Nope. All we know is what is in pictures around the internet. I wish they would go ahead and release what the packages include.

 

I would like an electrical plug-in in the console so I do not have to mod this again in my next Tacoma.

 

Dammit! I don't want the limited - hate chrome and from what I've
heard it DOES NOT include the hood-scoop.
