My boys were happy in the Tacoma when they were small, now at 15 and 12, they need more room. I'd like the new Tacoma rear seat to be a bit more roomy. The Tundra is too big.

Not sure, but it seems that my T100 was a little larger in the front. I normally travel with my Pug Dog in the passenger seat, so the back seat room is not real important to me.

The rear seats need 4 inches more leg room.

All I can say is.... The Access Cab truck better not get any longer in size!!

It won't fit in my garage!!!!

We just moved in April and re-organized the garage to fit my 07. For the first time EVER, I've been able to fit my vehicle in the garage.

ford did away with the ranger because it cut into f150 sales.

dumbest move they ever made. I would of bought a ranger instead of a Tacoma if they still made them and they came in a quad cab.

I agree. I have had 2 Rangers in the past and I loved those trucks, but I needed a quad cab. So, I bought a Colorado in 2006 and sold my Ranger. Then they stopped making Rangers. Ford screwed up in my opinion. I don't like full sized trucks and I know I'm not the only one.

My vote is cancel now, wait until the Detroit auto show to confirm the new one isn't a complete disaster and place the order for your '16 in Oct. If the price is good today, it will be good tomorrow, especially after the '16 is unveiled.

This may be a dumb question, but I'm selling my Tacoma and would love to get a new one, but would like it to be more roomy. When they show it at the auto show, is that what it will usually look like at final production?

I'm hoping for a lot of new features, like... heated side view mirrors and of course a few others :)

That is exactly what I did this morning via email. I just hope it doesn't cause issues for the salesman. However, he had zero Tacoma's on the lot, plus told me they are sold before they arrive at the dealership. I see no problem, but it will be interesting to see the salesmans response. I put $1000 down via credit card.

No expert here, but believe, unless it is not a concept vehicle, it is the production model.

I too would like more room, heated mirrors, plus a six speed automatic, etc, etc.

10 bucks says.... same body style... maybe minor changes to styling (think 2011 to 2012 difference in nose).... but you will now have a 2GR-FSE with a 6 speed auto under the hood. 40-50 more hp and some more torque, 25ish hwy mpg.

Great to hear. Let us know how it works out, if they don't jerk you around they know they can place one of the first orders for a '16.

I try to make the Chicago auto show every year, and have found that, with the exception of the color shown at the show, the vehicles are identical to those the dealers then later receive.
I believe the show versions occasionally have a special, eye-catching exterior color, which would prove costly in production.

I hope there is a real limited, not just and sr5 with leather and JBL.

I mean keyless system with push button, higher end interior (love the redwood in the 4Runner) a good sound system, projector lights, sunroof, power seats with heat, digital climate controls.

I am betting they will put the 4Runner v6 in with direct injection, a six speed auto and basically the same body style. I Personally think the interior is nice as it is.

Just decided to replace my 2002 xtr cab with a 2015 dlb cab by year end. Now with the 2016 close to announcement iI guess I should wait at least till the auto show. Then it will be another 6 months until I get a new truck.
