I'm kicking Tony's ass. He's a little bitch without Thor to back him up.

    EXCELLENT!!!
I have my '16 on order; will arrive late Dec 2015....
On trailering, towing, hitching, wiring, etc....
I see the trucks have the receptacles (both 4 and 7 pin) in the rear bumpers, but I understand we will have to either do the wiring ourselves or have it done professionally (I will have it done) This will include installation of a brake controller in the cab.
I had it all done professionally on my '02 Taco at a RV company: both 4 and 7 pin, and have towed my Chalet A-frame trailer all over the western US (this was with a 2.7/manual mind you).
I've seen a post in here about "warning-warning.... the 16s do not have the pigtails installed from the factory"... yeah? so, I had it done on my 02; why should I not anticipate it on my '16?
I'll be watching this thread to see if or when any more owners are wiring up for towing.

If the truck comes with the towing package, it is pre-wired. The pigtail is in the dash, and is just pulled out and clipped into the brake controller. You shouldn't have to have anything professionally wired.

My truck was listed as coming with the towing package but I do not see the little pointy object sticking out of the dashboard as shown in 4.1 on page 178 of the manual. Is this only after someone has added on a brake controller?

Yes. It's not a factory added item - the owner gets to pick their controller and add it later. It's built in on my brother's F-150, a point he likes to make.

I thought these were supposed to be standard on the TRD sport and OR, but mine doesnt have it. Dealer told me it was taken off at port due to a shortage of them so they could sell some packages without them. Why would you NOT want one? Was it to sell it slightly cheaper?

Now I have to buy the hitch and wire it up. I was waiting for the OEM to be come avail. Is it much different vs last years?

Hitch is different from towing package, which includes the transmission cooler and brake controller wiring. These items are built in at the factory.

For '16, all Tundra's with the 5.7 now come with an integrated brake controller. Personally, it seems like every truck should come with one as standard, and not as an option.

I knew before I bought my truck that it was highly unlikely that I'd ever have a trailer of any kind attached to the back, but I got the tow package anyway: 1) because things change, 2) subsequent owners of the vehicle will appreciate me for it! :)

I'm getting ready to order my 16 with tow package. What size is the receiver 2 or 2.5? I've seen both on after market classIV.

2". It would be extreme overkill to have a 2.5

    A 2" receiver is a 2" receiver. They're built to a standard.
