I think a matte black or bed liner colored cap with the inferno would look badass

I've asked a couple dealers of Leer, and they won't sell a cap unpainted. One said they may be able to manage it, but it won't be any cheaper.

I wanted to get an unpainted one and plastidip it matte black.

I think it's a little more but much cheaper than going the route of doing it yourself,

I'm going to get some Line-X on mine to break it up and add some black. I liked the look of the ARE Overland, but I preferred the Snugtop Shell. The company that's installing my cap is adding the Line-X. Snugtop said that I should wait until it's been on for 3 months to ensure that the paint is cured.

Did a little Photoshopping to see what it the inferno/black combo would look like. I think I'm definitely liking the 2 tone instead of the color match.

Hmm, that does look nice. I think a matte black would look a lot better though.

I agree. Matte black will make it look like it belongs. IMHO, shiny black will make it look like you got a deal on Craigslist. I think this looks great.

Yah theres gotta be something else with the same color as the cap. With just the cap being black it looks like you were just too cheap to get a color matched cap or as someone said got a deal on Craigslist. Unless your going to two tone the whole truck to me it looks odd but to each there own :)

Long bed Tacoma with Leer 180. I needed the mid rise topper so that I can put my bikes in the back. So far no leaking and its been great.

The bikes wouldn't clear on a cab high? I measured carefully. I've got a Snugtop rebel on the way and I'm hoping I won't have to drop seatposts to get them in there with a fork mount facing the rear of the truck. I know that the seats will be close and you'll have to lay the bikes sideways to get them to clear the door opening. I'd love some pics when you get bikes loaded up.

    Leer 180 topper

I measured from the floor of the bed to the top of the cab (it had a folded tonneau cover-fairly unscientific) on a test ride. I originally wanted a topper that would be flush with the top of the cab. My measurement was 38 inches or so. All my bikes are 29ers. I measured one of my bikes with the front wheel off. Floor to top of seat was about 37 inches-to close for my liking. I ride medium bikes and have a 30 inch inseam. I have to tilt one of my bikes a bit to get it in, but the rest can just roll into the back. I can post a pic in a little while.
