Maybe it's the pics? Looks pretty darn straight to me from this angle.

Livin... This looks great. How's the quality of this top? Any leaking or other kwerks? Like the absense of a brand decal. Did it come that way or did you remove? Also like the offset side panel windows.

Maybe just the factory rake? It creates that illusion with most caps I've seen.

Sorry for delay guys ,,it was nice today so we hit up a local gun range for some lead therapy :infantry:
so most of the floor at the front was saturated with water,,all along the entire side of left rail below window and some on right and along sides of bed bed is wet,,i have the bedrug in there so its really easy to tell what is gettin wet and whats not,,the slider part of this window feels like there is no seal around it as its sitting really loose while the right side is tighter,,theres small slots that you can see in pic below,,that will need to be sealed ,,any suggestions ??[IMG]
above is frontleft corner,,you can see the slots where the water is coming through ,,the right is same

Gas cap, or fuel door?! If it's the fuel door, you actually broke the metal rivets to send to them?

    In progress...
In my third gen, I did notice some water coming in too but the problem was not the shell. In the front part of the bed, at the junction of the front panel and side panels, the plastic bed does not go up to the flat rail where your bed sits. I suspect this is because the sides have been raised an inch from previous year but they kept the same plastic mold for the bed. So I had to do a couple of patches from inside the bed with black silicone. However, I do not think you can see it, it would be under the rug. Water came in mine only if I was traveling in rain. Parked it did not seem to be a problem.

Can you do me a favor and take a picture of the height of the cap next to the cab of the truck. I've been looking at the AREs but the cap height is above the cab and people are complaining. Wanted to see if the LEER is any different. Thank you!!

My truck came with only 2 bed rails, left and right. None on the front against the cab.
I keep seeing interior pics of peoples caps and looks like they have a 3rd bed rail againt the cab.
    Does this make a difference?

Pretty sure that the 3rd Gen's only come with the side rails. The front rail were added after by the owner. Its the same part as from the 2nd Gen.

Is there any possitive benefits of having this with the cap, like cap support?
    Or just personal preference

Have you seen multiple people complaining? I was planning on ordering my V-series TODAY. I have only seen the one owner in this thread with an issue. I will wait if it has been a problem with multiple owners. I certainly don't want drag above the back of the cabin.

Wonder is the Z-Series has this 'issue'. I'm supossed to be taking delivery of mine tomorrow after waiting over a month and a half.

I will say this whole experience has been a shit show and have been jerked around by both the dealer and ARE and my faith in them is dwindling fast. I told the dealer if this shell doesn't fit perfectly and match perfectly after all of this I'm refusing the shell and just going to order a LEER, which is probably what I should have done in the first place.

I initially went with the ARE because of their rear door construction, but at this point I'd sacrifice a slightly inferior rear door for upfront and honest communication and better customer service from both ARE and the dealer.
