Bought a Leer 100xr in July with tracks but opted to wait on purchasing the bars. Got some Christmas $ burning a hole in my pocket and I am trying to decide between "50 and "60 Yakima bars... any body have some pics to help a brother decide? Does "60 overhang the roof line too much? Thanks!

Why not grab an old broom stick/spindle from your local hardware store, cut it to length and stick it up there to see if it works for ya. I'm in the same boat, my buddies that I am being given are 60" and i am not sure if I want to cut them down/etc. I need to control towers/landing pads installed before I check the clearances though, currently waiting on delivery of the landing pads.

I bought 60" bars and cut them to the length I wanted. They wound up being 57"long.Wanted them to clear my Yakama basket with room to hang stuff at camp. They still sit inside the footprint of the truck, long enough but to long.

Anyone have any experience with Raider caps? Best quote I've gotten around here so far has been for a Vagabond Elite, which as far as I can tell is the same thing as Leer 100xr and Century Ultra Sport. All owned by TAG and all made in the same factory.

Is that the OTR coating on the full cap? Can you share some more pictures of that option.

I have two of these in the back of my truck, one on each side just under the rail.
I have had them for 7 months, work great:

Here is a link to a spreadsheet I made. I asked for A LOT of quotes from ARE dealer to get this breakdown. Leer guy just told me prices of all the options I was interested in. He also gave me a discount since he is the one doing the LineX coating to the topper.

How the prices are so different it shocks me. My ARE dealer quoted me with V series $1,358. OTR $462. Headliner $131. Windoors $154 each. Yakima tracks $193. Install........ $60 yes sixty dolla. I thought we added the sliding fold down front window but I don't see it on the quote. Oh taxes are %6 here so $173. Optional LED dome light, prop switch and dual rope LED strip are $229

That was the difference from the ARE to the Leer install. Over $200 to install an ARE and $80 for the Leer. So either ARE just builds the install cost pieces into other parts and pieces.

I heard the same from some dealers. A friend just took a trip (2,500 miles) with his brand new 2017 Toyota Tacoma SR 5 Double Cab with the OEM tonneau cover. Got a consistent 22 mpg's with his 3.5L. I think that is about the best you can expect with a Gen 3? BTW, my Leer 100R should be in next week for install on my new 2017. This will be the second one I've bought (the first one for my 2002). Love Leer. No issues 'cept that door shocks do wear out. Going with the gutter mounts like my old one with the Yakima tower system. The 2002 has 58" bars but the new one is wider and I may have to go 66". Need the small over hang for getting that 32 pound surfboard on the rack without scratching board and canopy. I'll send some pics when I get it.

I was able to order a ARE V-series with dual vented windoors, tilting front slider, rack tracks, carpeted headliner, LED dome light with prop switch for $2260 installed, all taxes included. Now I just need my 2017 DCLB TRDOR to get built and delivered for it. Then I'll find out if there is any more to it. But the shop I ordered it from said the $2260 was for everything.

Damn, I wish we had those prices here in Canada. Our dollar is in the tanks which makes buying any aftermarket accessories bloody expensive.
