I paid about $2400 that included tilt down front slider, headliner, domelight, vented windoors, and yakima track and feet. It is a great cap but I had an absolutely horrible experience with the dealer. I have reinstalled myself with better gasket material & more silicone (these taco beds are very porous.) I am concerned that one windoor has a minor leak but it only happens in serious monsoon type rain. I'll address it more in warmer weather but searches on the interwebs show these are prone to problems. I believe most of these shells are good products but what makes or breaks impression is the quality of the install.

Another note; the design of my tilt down slider prevents the slider from opening more than half way due to the location of the upper latch. Wish the dealer had advised of this but it's really not a deal breaker for me. Also, make sure you get some weatherstripping on the rear window lower lip where it meets the tailgate. Seems a no brainer that the dealer should install but mine did not & paint was being worn of the top edge of the tailgate within 2 weeks. When I reinstalled the cap I also pulled the truck bed rail caps & bulkhead piece off & installed putty tape & silicone to get better seal... see pic below.

The only change I would really consider is to go sliders instead of windoors depending on your intended use. I do like using the windoors (it saves from crawling in the back so many times) but it will be wait & see as to how they hold up.

Hope this helps & doesn't deter you from buying.

I am also having issues with water in my bed and will do my best to chase down the entry points. The biggest leak is coming from the gap at the front bed rail, which I was aware of and asked the installer to address, and they did a laughably bad job.

In any event, I agree that most of the caps themselves are of similar quality and construction, and the installation and after sales service is probably more important.

I just checked my tailgate, paint is rubbed from the shell door. Bummer. Thanks for the heads up on that, it's early enough to fix quite easily.

I put in the order for a Leer 100xr with windoors. I figured I would try it out again. I hit up Canopy Corner in Portland, OR and the craftsmanship of the A.R.E. just doesnt seem to look as good as the Leer. Pictures to come in 3 weeks upon delivery.

If possible, can you give a rough idea on pricing? Was quoted 2600 & change (including install) for overland series + (sliding front window + vented outdoorsman window + fabric headliner + yakima jetstream).

    In Louisiana.

Debating between bed rack / RTT and this option, but just want to get an idea how accurate pricing is before decision making.

$2100.00 Installed. Only options I added were the fabric headliner, sliding front window, and roof tracks for mounting a rack or basket.
