I'm having my Leer installed tomorrow morning. What should I tell them to do with the break light on the cab because I didn't see away to remove the bulbs.

Don't worry about it. You'll have a cool ambient light between the cab and cap.

Anyone else having issues with windoors, front drop down windows leaking in their shells?

Mine is an ARE overland and the interior interior carpet was soaking wet. The canopy has been at the shop now for 6wks waiting on windows. I've requested a refund, will see where this goes.

I know when they took the windows out they were over torqued causing the seals to protrude, and the drop down from window the way it was designed and the gasket installed there was no way for water to drain so it went into the cab.

Something for you all to be wary about with these windows, especially if you live where you get rain. Or PNW.

Sorry for the crappy photos. I'm very happy with the look and the color match of the LEER 100XR. I'll do some leak testing on it this weekend but overall I've very happy with it.

I can't see shit out of my cap. The aluminum inserts instead of glass really knock down the light.... I got solid panels for security reasons.

    Pros for glass:
    (1) Greatly improved visibility
    (2) Ability to add a screened slider for ventilation
    (3) glass doesn't scratch as easy as painted solid
    (4) esthetically more in line with the rest of the truck
    (5) Allows sun light in for improved visibility to find things during the day without the need to turn on the light.

    Cons for glass:
    (1) Glass breaks if something either inside or outside hits it hard enough
    (2) Allow better view for people to see what is in our truck
    (3) Windoors in glass have smaller opening than solid side doors (this is true at least for Snugtops)
    (4) requires two locking open/close turn latches per Windoor (Solids have a single latch)
    (5) Allows sun in, which heats up the back quicker

    Pros for solid:
    (1) Provides no visibility for content in bed area
    (2) Keeps sun out completely
    (3) Won't break like glass will
    (4) Single locking open/close latch

    Cons for solid:
    (1) Poor/no visibility out the back
    (2) No ability for screened slide open window venting
    (3) No ability to allow sunlight in
    (4) paint scratches easier than glass
    (5) esthetically doesn't flow as well with the rest of the truck

....I went with Glass Vented Windoors on my Snugtop primarily for improved visibility out the back.

Mines a long bed but figured i'd post it anyways :D
Snugtop Rebel|Pet Screens|Pro Lock|Bedrug for inside. Few leaks here and there but otherwise happy.

Here is my ARE Z series added options are wireless key FOB folding slide window and Yakima rack and Basket. Very impressed with fit and especially color match. Was leary about the matching of MGM since I have seen some pretty off color matches in that color.20170428_192410.jpg 20170428_192421.jpg 20170428_192435.jpg 20170428_192455.jpg 20170428_192516.jpg 20170428_192531.jpg

Got a nice day to go for a drive, first bit off off-roading with the canopy. No weird squeaks or shimmys, and bloody handy for storage!

Also a couple weeks ago did a bit of velcroing to the canopy headliner, put in a RGB LED strip light. I can now host wicked raves in the canopy! Really I wanted RGB just so I could do either red or white, being a rolling discoteque is just a bonus feature... Maybe I should take some pictures when it's dark...

Sorry for the delay. The top rearward facing window slides right to left (i.e. Opening the window goes toward the cab). The slider is approximately 5" tall. I'll get you a measurement later today.

been looking through here but haven't been through all 78 pages. could any of you give me an average price of a topper? I know that a very open ended question. I'm looking for something fairly basic like the one @Dozer1970 posted a picture of. I maybe would get some lighting on the inside and lined? Also how difficult is it to remove/reinstall? thanks

Regarding Leer in the Seattle area at my local dealer, for a 6 ft topper 100R it was $1,300 to start. For the 6 ft 100XR it was $1,500 to start.
