I'd rather have higher and not need it than the alternative.. But up to you. I paid 2200 for the cab hi with Yakima rack, headliner, pet screens, and the sportsman's package (free).

Did you check to see what an ARE and Leer go for? I just placed an order for the ARE CX with Sliding front tilt down glass, Windoors, Yakima Corebar Rack and it was about $2800. The windoors are pricey though ~$400-500.

I am sticking with Snugtop on this mod.

Looks like I found a quote for 2397.00, includes pro door lock, sliding flip down front window, flip/slide driver window, reinforced roof, taxes! Waiting for tomorrow to see if any of these options are included in specials next week. If one of them is, then we are down to 2300.00 out the door!

Well the flip window is on special this month for the Rebel, so that just saved me 85.00! going to get the flip/side door on both sides!

2500 installed otd for a hi liner sport. Got the fold down front slider, over sized side windows, prolock with keyless entry, headliner, 12v light, yakima tracks. Didnt want the windoors as they invite scratches and water leaks!

Question for you guys...since I can't seem to get a straight answer from A.R.E. or their vendor:
I'm interested in a A.R.E. CX HD shell but was told by the dealer that unless I order the stock A.R.E. roof rack, the internal support is pointless. As a photographer, I intend on installing a Prinsu and a platform to stand upon and would like the added support of the HD system.

So, will Prinsu not work with the existing roof rack support of the HD system? Are there no other benefits to the added support without A.R.E.'s stock rack?
    Thanks for the help!

anyone running a are dcu with the full 50/50 doors? thinking about pulling the trigger on the diamond plated version and having the exterior bed lined black. would be a bit different of a setup compared the fiberglass caps. Picture of cap on a chevy

    Thank you!
Yeah that's right. It's a Leer canopy re-branded as a Cap-It canopy (I'm in British Columbia) and it is equivalent to the XR100.

I initially wanted an ARE canopy but I am very happy with my Leer!

My Suspension is aftermarket, I have a 3" OME Lift with a new leaf pack, and tire size is 285/70/r17

    Just the basics
Have a look at this one, smartly done. Personally I don't see the need for a ton of diamond plate nor painted black unless you're trying to color match. Black will increase the internal temps, especially during the summer. YMMV.

Finally got a cap.... ARE CX... Got a couple concerns but overall happy..... back glass has no kind of gasket and there is a big hole at the corners.... I figure a bulb gasket will fix if ARE doesn't. Also, the trim at the back glass is peeling back. I'll fix if ARE doesn't. 20170926_152157.jpg 20170926_152136.jpg 20170926_144331.jpg 20170926_144308.jpg

New or Used? Seems weird to not have any kind of gasket in the back. Looks good either way!

Yeah, that bugs me on my ARE CX too. Still looking for a better seal on that.
