I recently took my truck in for an alignment and was told my LCAs are shot and quoted me around 1500 for the work which I would rather do myself. I'm renting a car lift and garage spot for a day to replace the entire control arm but I was thinking about putting in some new suspension parts as well. My budget is around 1100 would go over a little if it makes all the difference but any advice on what new parts I should put in for a better ride quality over the highway? I rarely take my truck truly offroading but since I live in southern Fl the roads are not the best. I also have been considering a 1.5-2.5 lift/leveling kit since I am running 17-inch wheels. Any advise would be really great.

Here is my 2" front / 1.5" rear level kit. $108 from Torch off road. Also a RWD taco. Alignment costed me a whopping $60. As long as you're under 3" you shouldn't need new UCA and all new suspension. No real difference from stock. If I get 20k out of it before I need to upgrade something, I'll consider that money well spent since it only ran me $100. These are also 17" Method wheels with 265/70 tires. Build list in my signature. I personally didn't see the point of dropping a grand on suspension for a truck I don't off road in.

As a RWD truck owner you also don't need to worry about a diff drop or needle bearing upgrade/swap like you do on 4x4 models with the front diff.
