I searched forum and seems I have a "isolated problem" i thought i might share.
I developed a parasitic power draw months back. Battery would be dead with not starting vehicle in as few as 5 days.
It was traced to the door lock "chirp/chime unit" . Seems even with in functioning normally it had constant power being sent to it. 24/7.
They replaced the module, sent me on my way and the draw continued.
Now its awaiting a "computer" as the next step repair solution.
Not being familiar with it and not being able to find the wiring diagram. I'm curious if the onboard computer would be the actual/ or obvious culprit?
Seems strange that my Tacoma just decided to start sending constant power to something like a chirp/chime module. The module does in fact chirp normally but does have a very low tone "hummm" when its connected and that continues at all times even after vehicle "goes to sleep".
Also I found it interesting I haven't found anyone else mention this happening.
Hopefully the next repair resolves the issue.
