Question came up over on MUD...figure i'd share over here...

"I would imagine it'll be hot, are there places to fill up water jugs?"

there are places in town to refill water. GearHeads is one location that has water refills. or pick up some jugs at city market while in town. if you need non-drinking water, mill creek in town would be a good source to fill up a jug if needed. you'd have to make a short hike from the parking area to the creek. or one of the beach pullouts along 128 and use the colorado

apparently there is a natural spring as well...
"Matrimony Springs - Located on the river road (Hwy 128) that is located right off US 191 at the bridge on the northern end of Moab right at the Colorado River. It is a natural spring with water that comes right out of the Mesa. It is just east of HWY 191 (the main street into Moab) on hwy 128 (The colorado river road). Their is a pull off on the right side with a large cliff and a metal pipe coming out. This is where you fill up your water. There will probably be other people here doing the same."

You can fill up at city market as well... just FYI... think it's like $1 a gallon... something like that

Better to ask what I have not done.
That rock climbing and out door store across the street from city market will let you fill up water jugs for free still.

no that's the larger crossing farther up.

That doesn't flex the truck though and that hole is just small enough my 42's can make it through there.
