we do request the camping spots before the ravine and immediately after stay vacant for organizers and sponsors. see the map below, the black circle. red circle is typically where we put the toilets. green circle by the entrance where the dumpsters usually are.


if you setup early and are in these locations, you will be asked to move...

also a couple other notes...

DO NOT PARK IN THE TREE LINE

we will make rounds while we're out there to make sure everyone is in a good position. we need to respect this land as it is not ours and need to keep this area open for years to come.

we will try to get some organizers there as soon as we can during the week to assist you in finding a proper camping spots if you are unsure.

here's a video on how to get to Area BFE and take note at 0:56 to 1:00 this area will be utilized by organizers and sponsors...the area to the right at 1:00 will also be used...that is the black circle on the map above. the main camping will be straight ahead, all the way to the trees at 1:00 all the way to 1:15 is all valid camping...as you get closer to that back hill, do not drive on trees, shrubs, grass, anything living..

the dirt...there's plenty of it...and not in an area that will be used for other purposes.

we will be making rounds at camp...we will let you know if you're in an area that will cause issues with the owners..

 

there will be plenty of space to park and camp...if you see my truck, feel free to stop by and ask if unsure

we need to make sure we have places for the sponsors to setup and for garbage and toilets for everyone to have access to.

we've had requests in the past from the owners to be mindful on where people park their trucks as to not destroy what little vegetation they have left there.

 

Google maps puts it at 11 hours from my house in Reno/Sparks. Sounds like Jason will come down and stay over as he's about an hour further up in Tahoe, that way we can head out early like 6am and get to Moab before dark to setup camp.

 

The closer we get the more it looks like ill be making it just hope there's enough room left when i show up to park my long ass trailer.

 

What day you heading out?

 

I think we'll be heading up there Monday 5/30 then back the following Sunday

We both just stuffed Transferflow 46 gallon tanks in our Tundras so in theory we'll get around 400 miles a tank towing and only need to fill up twice on the drive. Should make it a bit less stressful then the little 26 gallon tank and stopping every 200 miles last year

 

Ughh I hated that drive. We left from Jason's 2 years ago and took 50 over. That last hour getting into Moab, I was getting so restless
