I had that TSB done when it came out. On the highway on the side from the crosswind during a gust, the mirror makes a buzzing sound. I just turn the radio up. Probably has to do with the vortex generators on the mirror to improve mpg.

The message you sent is just you driving in the car. Doesn't say anything about how to fix the issue. Am I missing something?

i inserted a 3/4" OD medium hard tubing into the door (need to be soft enough to give a little but no squish flat) between the door gasket and the door metal. once i did that the sound stopped and the truck was also alot quieter inside.

in the picture i used clear tubing so u can see the tube better and where to put it... the black rubber hose didnt show up that well but worked the best (the ID for the black tube is roughly 1/2")

Avs in channel vent visors fixes the noise if you don't want to add tubing

I don't have any door air whistles but I think at times my front air scoop catches wind just right and lets out a faint whistle, Im used to it, its not the control arms on my truck. Just some info for those with a scoop.

This is good to know. And I was curious if this would be an alternative solution. I've had the whistle a few times in nasty cross-winds and I just added the in-channels a few days ago.

Here is a video from my truck. It is only minor compared to what it does now. Its about 5x louder today when at freeway speeds with a minor cross wind. Howling in video gets louder towards the end of the video around 49 seconds

I have a Prinsu rack on it now. Should have taken it to the dealer before I put the rack on because I know they are just going to blame the rack.

MIne is similar but comes from the door seal too. It's very distinct and I can feel the wind when I push my fingers up there in the door.

The sound reminds me of when you put a blade of grass between your fingers and blow across it.

Mine is in the shop right now for the same problem. Supposedly they have new, updated door/window seals. Call your local dealership and they'll replace it for free.

Same. mines in the shop. They said theres not technically a TSB out for it, but when they ordered new doors for a tacoma, it came with new seals which apparently fix it, so if they order new seals, they'll be the new updated ones that fix it. Warrantied as well.

Heading back to my shop. I'll take a look in my truck for potential part numbers. As far as I know it's just the door seals. They come standard on the new doors they order. They just changed them and started putting them on doors they ship. But I'll see what I can find

A few listed in the signature
I have a 2017 DCSB and wanted it to be slightly quieter. Upon inspecting my door seals and body side seals I noticed some flimsy bits and when you pull on the door side it easily comes away from the door. They are just held on by clips spaced about a foot apart.

What I did to fix it was use weatherproof foam weatherstripping (black) from Home Depot. I sealed up the front edge and just reinforced the flimsy bits on all 4 doors. What a huge improvement. Between fixing the LCA whistle and sealing up the doors the truck is now as I would expect it to be. (I am slightly OCD about wind noise and whistling)

The wife even noticed the difference which was a nice surprise.

$4 at home depot is more than enough.

biggest problem: I was out of the area and not near my home depot. ASked the guy in the paint shop where they had their backer rods and he had no idea what a backer rod was.

I used a sealant as well but I forget what it was. whatever I had on hand. maybe gasket sealant, weatherstripping sealant, or rtv sealant? I don't remember. Not sure if you need to seal it. I just did to be sure.

Or just take your truck in and get new seals for free. I can assure you they work. My town is right on the Columbia gorge and frequently get 30+ mph winds in the spring and I haven't heard a peep out of the door seals since they've been replaced.
