Right lol. The video posted sounds like the driver is leaving at idle, if he would load up rpm on the brake he would be in the 15's easy.

I stalled the converter to about 2,000 RPM off the line.

You hold the brake hard enough it's not going to roll, your truck will go 15's with ease with more rpm, that's impressive for what it is. OEM size tires would have helped too.

DCLB how heavy is that pig?...How many miles, auto...same configuration as your 2nd gen OP..a lot of variables running the quarter..But I must say I met a couple 2ND gens at stop lights results were different that OP's timeslip...real world...3rd Gen is not bad for a TRUCK...

Rolling the beams at the dragstrip means if the truck creeps forward out of the staging beams when you're staging like when you're trying to load the converter.

You're only 20/100ths of a second away from a 15 second 1/4 mile. The added rpm is all it needs. Well done..

Registration weight says 4560 lbs. No scales at our track. 5,000 miles, auto. My 2nd gen was supercharged with lots of bolt ons (intake, exhaust, clutch, pulley, etc.).

Would love to see a 1/4 time for a manual truck. I would assume with a good launch you could be in the 15s range easy.

On another note, these things will out drag my fucking FRS

The manual should do high 14s, I'll give it a go eventually

hell my 2003 F150 v6 M/T reg cab with a measly 202hp at the flywheel did an average of 10.2 in the 1/8th...I wonder why these trucks are so slow  I am not expecting it to fly by any means, but for a midsize truck it should scoot a tad faster

Is that on stock tires / suspension? Looks like you need to do some more powerbraking and will easily be in the 15's. Did you have ECT on?

same applies to sports cars now days. The new Autos are so effective at shifting, the M/T is slowly going to the wayside :(

Go for it! Let's see what the manuals can do! Can launch it harder that's for sure.

It's easier to light the tires in 1st gear with a standard, today's automatics can leave harder.

Stock tires, 3" lift. ECT on, TRAC off.
