It looks pretty much the same with a slightly different grill and tail gate. Good thing is, there is a sunroof. There should have been a huge transformation like they did when they brought out the newer Tundra.

Yes, that is part of the system they have in place. Lighter and no rust.

Dealerships don't set prices for factory options, only the factory and aftermarket accessories.

LOL and Toyota will sell everyone of them. Heck the 2nd gen Tacoma "still" outsells the new GM twins. Even during it's down years, it still kicks the GM twins to the curb. Unlike some of the fan boys here on TW, I highly doubt GM is a serious threat to the Tacoma (Sales records proves it) or else Toyota would've done something more radical.

Satoshi, debadged, rear view mirror bracket, tail gate hose clamps, trimmed mud flaps.
Agreed. Don't need to try to fix something that isn't broke.

the more I look at it I see the brand recognition from the Tundra chiseled look to the 4Runner front end with the squinty headlights and large "street fighter" grill.

Anyone else notice the addition of the overhead bed lights in the 3rd brake light location?

I am not fond of the look of this new redesign yet... Maybe in the future.
I will wait to see what you all do with it.. It is very obvious Toyota follows forums such as these for some of your fine mods and incorporate them to the design. So I say keep modding! And keep improving a reliable truck.

So wait. At the bottom here or the first post, it says that your considering a few truck choices and the new Raptor is one of the choices? And i assume you can afford to buy and service it why would you even be contemplating On others?I'm not one for forD to Raptors but if I can afford to buy it and maintain it why the hell not

No de-badging that tailgate! Mixed feelings on the look...similar to how I felt when the 05' came out until I saw it lifted, then I was sold just like the FJ and 4Runner...and pretty much most trucks. They all look better lifted! :D

Will be interesting to see what they changed in the cab. From the looks of it, they took a second gen and slapped a new front clip and anew bed on it. Not a fan of the new front end or the "Spoiler lip aka F 150" tailgate.

I heard the lesser models will have BHLMs and the Limited headlights retain chrome housings.

Is this not what you instructed Toyota to do? Or was that thread where you're forwarding all the design ideas to Toyota for the 2016 Tacoma total nonsense?

It's got round air vents that we can see so far.
