Tailgate is very close to the Ford f150 platinum edition truck.

Bingo. That's what the gauges in the mule looked like to me. I hope it doesn't have the 4Runner gauges, they are an immediate downgrade.

And to bad the Toyota truck steering wheel is so ugly. The Camry and Corolla wheels are so much nicer in size feel and button placement.

is that a high clearance rear bumper? why does it seem like the spare tire is more exposed?...maybe toyota's marketing tactics to take angled pictures are working on me.

    i do like the sunroof

Basically stock. OME 882s, HD Dakars and nitrochrgers, TG front bumper, custom rear bumper, 4Xinnovations sliders, RAT skids, Softopper, 255/85/16 ST MAXX's on 16" steelies, 1" B.O.R.A. wheel spacers Scangaugae II, deck plate mod, grey wire mod,ECGS bushing, diff breather relocation, alarm mod, defrost w/o compressor mod, de-badged, sockmonkey beside decals.
That front bumper looks like it might make it quite challenging for the aftermarket bumper fabricators.

So were you people expecting a complete state of the art never been seen before looking redesign on this truck? I mean how much change does a truck need to go through before many of you call it a complete redesign? I haven't looked at the safety results on the crash test of the second gen cab, but if they are good enough then why change that aspect of it? I know many of you don't care about the safety crash test results, but with some of the past safety issues with Toyota in the past maybe they are looking at that. I could be just wasting my time defending that aspect if the test results suck, but just me rambling lol.

I like the truck and if I hadn't just bought my truck 2 months ago I would be at the dealership looking to get me one of these, bugs and all. I love my taco and I doubt I will ever have anything else ever again. I just think there is a lot of assumptions based on pics alone, judge the book by its cover. I'll definitely go test drive one though.

The local dealers here dont even have any stock on the 15's yet! So how are we suppose to drive the 16's when they are not out yet? We must judge this book by its cover until we can get our fingers and hands on it physically. It is a Taco so it will have its followers.

I'm talking about waiting till full specs come out and Toyota says what they have changed, not driving it right now.

I've never been in my truck and thought "you know, it would be nice to have a moonroof".
I like the headlights, not digging the open guppy mouth grill nor the dumb front skirt thing.

Did anyone notice what looks like round vents, look on the dash by the passenger door and if you look in the middle looks like the middle of the dash is changed a little, like it sticks out a little for a sunshade maybe for the radio

THE tundra went to round hvac vents when it received its refresh so wouldn't be surprising if gen 2.5 Tacoma followed suit.

Let me tell you, round vents are freaking sweet! I absolutely love them in my f150. I can adjust them in all kinds of directions... I hate how the 15 f150 went back to regular vents, but that's another rant for a different forum. You will like them.

I hope the 16 has dual zone hvac and rear vents though... I have my fingers crossed.

I see an auto dimming rear view mirror and bed lights in the third brake light housing as well. In other pictures I see the rear sliding glass is manual still. I'd love to see the entire glass roll down like the tundra crew max.

All I'm waiting to know are the spec's on those 18" wheels, and will they fit my 2nd gen other than that I don't care.

I think it looks good except for the huge grille, looks like maybe a cargo light and they finally got rid of the front mounted antenna.
