2016 Tacoma blue pony

Hi to all. The little blue pony is suddenly running rough at idle. Yes it's time for a tune up but it totally conked out when I tried to tow my Rpod. Zero power. Check engine light flashing etc. Now it seems to be running fine except for the CE light staying lit. Also blew the 30amp tow fuse...Do I have to live without my favorite truck or can I keep driving it for a few weeks until I can get it to the mechanic?

 

Check engine light flashing means don’t drive it.
Need to get the codes so you know why the light is on. Autozone or the like will do it for free.

Flashing check engine light usually means active misfire and to get it serviced immediately. I had one on a previous vehicle. It did it at a certain RPM and wouldn't go beyond it. The issue was a bad catalytic converter. Not saying yours is the same, but it's a possibility.

Cel flashing means pull over immediately and call a tow truck.
