ok this is my first post on taco world

I've noticed a bump in the back when I come to a stop. Not sure what it is.

NOTE: it's not a major bump. It just feels like a little bump from behind. And it happens sometimes

I have the same thing some times, mainly first thing in the morning while the truck is still cold. Pretty sure there is a thread on here about it some place.

I told the dealership about it at my 1st service, but they couldn't replicate...shocker.

I was thinking it's the fuel sloshing around

    Or

    A delayed gear engagement

I recently had this problem with my 2009 tacoma only when I came to a sudden stop. It ended up being a leaking rear output seal. Toyota has upgraded the output seal with a double lip. Pretty inexpensive fix if you are mechanically inclined. Hope this helps.

It feels and sounds like it is coming from the rear gear case.

Bumps, clunks, slips, flares, squeaks, creaks and howls are all complimentary with the Third Gen Tacoma.

I have seen many of your posts badmouthing the 3rd gen. Why do you not sell yours? It would seem to me that it would be better on your over-all health --to say nothing of your ATTITUDE. Why do you continue to own one of these Tacomas if you hate it so much????

who is worrying -- me or you? I am not worried at all -- just seems with a vehicle that KBB rates as the highest resale value would entice you to get on with your life - with another make of vehicle-- that is unless someone is giving you something to constantly put the truck down????

I've explained this to countless fanboys here. I'm not taking a loss on this truck by trading. I will continue to hold toyota responsible to get it right.

And, BTW --your response to his question does nothing to answer his concern for his vehicle

I know you're new here, but I wouldn't go down this path.

Edit: Never mind, it appears as though I am too late

OF course I am new here -- but I am mature enough to see this individual has some "sort of an ax to grind" and useless posts do no one (that is looking to get good info) any good , that is unless someone finds them entertaining? Nuff said!

You won't convince @smitty99 of anything, and you've now made more pointless posts on this thread than anyone else...

As far as finding pointless posts entertaining....welcome to TW

I don't think they were pointless posts -- If more people here did what I just did, "ignore" him -- he/she would have no one to rant to -- I would bet "Toyota has already decided to "ignore" this individual as well
