Do you have any intention to replace soon? You will know for sure at that point.

Wow... This seems funny. I just got a call today saying that there has been a recent recall on my "current " vehichle. It was an automated machine and it left a number. I'm gonna call tomorrow and see what up.

Many other issues. So you said they didn't elaborate on which is fine. Do you have any speculation as to what any of the other issues might be? Leaf springs? Vibrations in driveline? Rear differential howling?

Totally worth all the muck one has to wade through

    Thanks man

My truck was built 09/15 so I'll be checking this out as a preventative measure.

First I've heard of this but supports my theory of a bad lot from the supplier.

For those wondering just what they're looking for on a vehicle.. Courtesy of the first vehicle I'm working on today. (Just a 10k service)

I'd have pulled the connector off, but the manifold is right there and I burnt my had on the first attempt. The big rubber boot covering the connector doesn't help things. Do it when the engine is cold!

Has anyone confirmed if leaving it in the glovebox will do any harm to it due to the heat throughout the day? I got my truck in December of last year so I'm sure there is a good chance I've got the old part. I'll probably pull it this weekend and check it out. I'm around 17k miles and hasn't left me stranded yet but that doesn't mean it won't.

It gets quite a bit hotter in the engine so I would not worry about the glove box.

It should be good if stored in the glovebox. It's designed to work near a running engine in the summer so if new it's the new part should take the heat of a glovebox.

Glovebox conditions far exceed the relatively calm environment of inside a running engine.
