    Starting to notice the howl....

    4300 miles right now. I usually drive with the radio off and there is small, but definite howl from the rear differential when the gas is applied around 50+ mph, worse around 70-75mph. I had a pinion bearing go out on my last truck so I may just be very sensitive to the sound. Luckily this is early so if it is a big issue it will get quite a bit louder before the warranty is up.

    i had this truck all black, with the 5 speed, it was a dog but man was that a cool truck to drive, so simple and it pulled chevys out of the mud like nothing.

    Mine got to the point where I could easily hear it over the raido, and even with the windows cracked. Couldn't really tell you when I first started to notice it initially, but it got loud. Mine was at 2927 miles when I got the axle replaced.
