2016 Tacoma Doublecab OEM Audio Plus Referenca 450Q Review and Install

I just wanted to do a review on quality and installation on this product.

Product: Oem Audio Plus 450Q

My Truck: 2016 Toyota Tacoma DC TRD Sport 4WD Prem & Tech non-JBL

I bought the system from Toyotapartsoutlet.com. I am not affiliated with Oem Audio Plus or Toyotapartsoutlet.com. If you are interested in this system. Do not buy it online. Call them and they will give you a discount. I bought it for hundreds less then the advertised online price with free shipping. I have had aftermarket systems in my cars going all the way back to high school. I am 41 years old. I have had $1200-$5000 systems in my cars. I have done all the installs myself.

Installation:
It took me 4.5 hours from start to finish. I followed the installation instruction video on youtube. I bought a plastic trim removal tool from ebay for $2. I would not do it without it. The install was pretty straight forward. The speaker installation was very easy. Just like the video. The wiring took a little more time. But just follow the video and its doable. The factory speakers were a joke. All paper made and absolutely crappy. The front tweeters were the only ones that were somewhat substantial. The plug and play wiring harness and speaker connections is absolutely what makes this product worth every cent. You are literally savings hours of work.

Review:
The last system I had was all JL Audio components. The components of this system are not at the level of top of the line aftermarket audio parts. But I can tell the components of this system are of high quality and substantial. For the price it's very nice parts. I can tell that it will last a long time. If you are looking for a booming system, this system is not for you. I can tell that this system was well thought out and put together as a complementing system. The sound quality is great. For me, it's the right amount of bass and great clarity.

Customer service:
I had emailed back and forth with Oem Audio Plus before purchase. They were very responsive and followed up quickly. I have no doubt that they will stand by their product. It seems like many Toyota dealers are stocking this system in their parts department.

Conclusion:
I am extremely happy with this purchase. I drive 600 miles a week. This has increased my driving happiness at least 10 fold. Sorry no pictures.

 

CRAP I hate you... BUT I do LOVE mine. Put mine in a week ago.

 

If you are impressed with the Toyota JBL system. This thing puts it to shame.
