I have had a really sore back for the last week, and on Monday did 5 hours on a road trip and it was the most comfortable I've been. I am slightly amused that a truck seat was actually *MORE* comfortable than a chair/couch/bed!

My seats are quite comfortable. No back aches for me.

If you keep a wallet in your back pocket when you sit, take it out. That can cause back pain. Too tight of a belt or too thick of a belt can cause back pain as well. Stretches and exercise are the obvious, but you may need something more specific.

So the wallet / belt / exercise comments are interesting, but seem to miss a major point. I would assume this is not the first driver's seat in a vehicle that the OP has experienced. I think he is comparing to other vehicles.

And I agree, at least for my body and posture, the seat does feel uncomfortable. I have NEVER messed with lumbar support knobs on a seat until this. Ever. Luckily, I don't do long drives in general. 30 min tops. But that can be enough some days to think that the seat is uncomfortable and not adjustable enough (at least for me).

It is dependent on body dimensions and seat restrictions.

I have a 2007 now, and I can never get comfortable in it. I'm 6'2" with long legs. This causes me to have to have the seat all the way back and reach for the steering wheel.

I was hoping I would not have this issue on a 2016, but the telescoping steering wheel still doesn't come out far enough to fix the issue.

The problem (for me) is that I'm reaching forward with my upper body in order to grip the wheel AND rest my elbow. This causes a kind of slouching position that plays havoc with your core muscles, especially medium drives. On long drives, eventually my core muscles will give up and the pain goes away, but now my posture is gone, causing other problems.
