2016 tacoma fuel pump not shutting off?

OK my wife used my truck to take the kids to school at 7:30 this morning I came out to garage at 1:30 and the fuel pump is running nonstop I had to start the truck for it to quit any ideas and I'd this a danger such as a fire hazard?

 

Was the key on the "on" position?

 

No key fob was in the house. So Rock lobster would the fuel pump run for that evaporation to occur

 

OK thanks my last tacoma never did that so it seamed weird that it would be running.

Its the leak detection pump mounted to the charcoal canister. Its right next to the tank so thats why it probably sounds like the fuel pump.
