The 2016 Tacoma front grill is really growing on me. I wonder if there is a way I can make it fit on my 2006? :anonymous:

I would go for the 4 runner front end treatment.[IMG]

After seeing them in person, the designers knew what they were doing.

Idk about a 2006, but I already put a 2016 trd pro ebay grille on my 2007 :lalala:

it would overwhelm your truck. All people would see is a giant grill coming down the road.

You could probably do it, but you'd also need a lot of other parts (hood, fenders, bumper, headlights, front doors, various bracketry, etc.). In terms of front-end swaps, it would actually not be too hard to do. :)

Bilstein 5100's w/ Eibach coil overs in front (set at 3" of lift). Front diff drop kit. Extended Bilstein 5100's in the rear. Deaver 2" AAL in rear w/ axle shims. 285 x 75 r 16 Goodyear Duratracks. Wheelers steelies type B, AFE cold air intake. Sway bar delete. All Pro Apex front bumper (rattle canned Rustoleum primer + flat black). Plasti-dipped emblems. Mud flaps removed.
I have a feeling it would be a huge pain in the ass.

I was surprised to see that the '16 grille is only slightly larger than an '05-'11. Pictures can be deceiving.

We can make it fit. I need a sawzall, spray-paint and a fresh batch of bondo. Maybe some wood screws and L brackets to hold it in place. :D

Sorry I know this thread is old... Does anyone know of a aftermarket grill similar to the 2016 that would fit the 2nd gen body style (mine is a 2015)

coming from a 3rd gen owner, IMHO the second gen trd pro grille looks so much better.
