2016 Tacoma Group Buy Search

Hello fellow Arizona TW members.. (Please pass dealer info and pricing through PM)

I'm on the hunt for info on any Toyota Dealers that run group buys.
As well as interested members possibly wanting to go in together..

 

By group buy are suggesting for vehicle purchases? At this point I plan on buying a 2016 AC OR. Hopefully soon. I'm in Tucson. There is a dealer here that we may be able to work with. I can reach out to them if there is anything interest.

 

Yeah definately for purchasing. A buddy of mine got in on a group buy for his JK Rubicon Hard Rock Edition last year with a dealer in DC, and got a crazy deal. Something like 7% below invoice.

I thought with all these 2016 buyers sitting at the ready, it might be worth investigating.

 

Can't hurt to try. Once we figure out interest level I can check with the fleet guy here.

No arguing that logic, after 10yrs of taking the midsize truck market to the woodshed....... At the end of the day though, the worst a dealer can say is and then I move on to the next dealer. Like a swarm of Tacoma buying locusts. We will attempt to drain the dealerships of all available resources. Wait............... I blacked out for a second....

Since this plan was just scratched out in the dirt yesterday. We have a lot of work to do yet.

B.A.M.C.I.S comes to mind.....

B- Begin the plan (Completed yesterday)
A- Arrange Reconnaissance (Find members willing to contact local dealer and ask appropriate questions)
M- Make Reconnaissance (Make dealer contact)
C- Complete the plan (Compare dealer findings and determine most profitable target)
I- Issue orders ( To preferred dealer)
S- Supervise ( Post up in recliner with an adult beverage and wait for magic to happen)

I have been contacting Toyota dealers across (insert state or whatever) regarding the possiblity of a group buy or multi vehicle purchase for the 2016 Tacoma. This will not be a fleet vehicle purchase rather multiple individual custom orders within a given window.

Please respond with your dealership allocation information for the Tacoma, and any details on how your dealership would earn this business. Please email only...

This strategy has worked for a 7% below invoice sale in the past. Albeit not with a Toyota, but an equally popular vehicle. Its worth a shot.

 

Unless the all new 2016 Tacoma tanks in the review department the dealers will not see enough incentives and kick backs to cover 7% under invoice. I don't think Toyota will have an issue selling the new Tacoma.

Also, how does one, "Make Reconnaissance?"

 

Believe me, I would never expect 7% below invoice on anything sitting at a Toyota dealership.

As far as how one "Makes Reconnaissance", I offer you this. On making reconnaissance, one must complete an estimate of the "situation". Prearranged meetings with adjacent squads and supporting units are held as scheduled. One notes how the terrain affects one's preliminary plan and adopts, alters, or rejects it as necessary. While on one's reconnaissance, one selects a vantage point from which to orient one's fire team leaders.

And that is how one would "Make Reconnaissance".

I'm probably going to spring on a 2016 Wrangler.. but very interested in the 2016 tacoma and what price it can be had for. I'm in Phoenix.

For anyone interested the dealer in Sierra Vista will do $1k under MSRP. Despite telling me they will only sell at MSRP and that if I want to pay under than it would probably be next year, Precision in Tucson will go to $500 over invoice with the correct negotiation which in my case was an invoice price from another dealer out of state. Wasn't happy with douche there so still not buying from them.
