    That's the kit!

    Yeah 5500k is good

The 4500k is a little blue to be honest like a factory BMW hid

I heard they were 4300k so I wanted to stay as close to that as possible

I went back and forth between 4500k and 5500k either way you can't go wrong just a litttle more blue in the 5500k

Take pictures when your done with the install!

I am going with this kit and have a feeling the ballasts draw less amps than some other brands easing draw on the factory harness. I am a bit torn on the 4500k and 5500k.

As far as the H11 is concerned, what is H11b? I'm interested in ordering a Xenondepot kit and they only list H11 size but but don't differentiate between different types.

    It's been great!

I run them for about and hour everyday on the way home from work

So far no flickering no problems with the wiring warming up nothing the kit is perfect! Highly recommend the kit especially for it only being like $52

    Worth every penny

I may install a relay here in the future just because I can but it's not needed just adding for additional protection

Nice, and thanks for the feedback. I am about to order your kit. Still on fence about 4500 or 5500. Why adding a harness?

I went with the 4500k and I think it's perfect because factory European cars that have hids are 4300k I like the factory modified look.

Adding the relay because it gives me an excuse to play in the garage and be out of the house it's not required lol I haven't order one yet

I'm in the process of doing a 12 circuit blue sea fuse block to run additional lighting compressor and so on.

Theres an Hid mod thread, where the individual uses Lexus rx350 projectors. Reason being...our projectors are engineered specifically for halogen bulbs, not hids.

Im ready to upgrade to hids but doing my due diligence before I pull the trigger. Is it worth upgrading the actual projectors to bixenon vs our halogen projectors?

Right now, I'm leaning towards upgrading to the bixenon projectors, as light quality/proper cutoff is important to me.

A lot of good information in this thread:cheers:

I was reading somewhere there is a gap or a "blind spot" (weird beam pattern maybe) on the kits that are NOT Morimoto, and it was due to bulb shape or something of that nature. I am a quite obsessive compulsive when it comes to lighting and output, anyone have any knowledge on any of this, or how it compares to the Morimoto kit?

Also, when I am on the DDM website, it does not give me an option for the canbus or non-canbus kits, what all is that?!

I ordered my off of Amazon prime

52$ shipped and they have both options on there

As for the bulb the difference is h11 or h11b

I have the ddm premium on canbus kit and there is no line or blind spot like some other hid kits that ppl have on here

Not sure what the canbus kit or non-canbus kit is? Again, not sure if I'm using that in its correct context. I guess what I'm asking is, if I were to order their 35w slim ballast kit will there be any light output/placement/throw issues?

I have used DDM on multiple vehicles I've owned and they are a great company so their quality isn't what I'm questioning - thank you again!

I don't believe we need the canbus system as the Taco doesn't recognize if a headlight is out. I can verify this because I just did the Morimoto Elite kit which taps only one of the factory headlight circuits to trigger the light relays. If we had canbus the system would see no signal from my passenger side factory light plug not being hooked up.

As for the H11 vs. H11B - its about the "notches" in the bulb and how they affect the placement of the HID bulb return wire. Here is a good video:

TRS/Morimoto does a good job marketing the H11B. Others do not, but according to their video H11B is most common, so I would assume most companies offering H11 kits are shipping H11B bulb. However, I cannot verify that.

Here is my setup (TRS Morimoto Elite 6500K bulbs with 50W Ballast and Morimoto XB LED Fogs):

Has anyone found a color match to the TRD pro rigid fogs from from the retrofit source? I'm leaning towards 35 watt with 5500k but thought I'd see if someone else had prior experience. Thanks
