This was my 4 year old black MINI Cooper after a day of detailing. That's my red MINI you see in the reflection, of course.

And that's why I have a black TRD Sport on order.... I love the results of polishing and maintaining black paint.

Thanks, whey... just a matter of dedicating the time and energy to it.

I don't believe i will ever come close to that, at least not in my youth but you deserve the praise for a well done job.

Thanks... but keep in mind, if you don't start with black paint, you'll never see that kind of result. Even my red car which is a nice, reflective paint, can't get that kind of reflective finish. But that's not as important as getting rid of the swirls, orange-peeling, spiderwebbing, and other maladies that can come of your paint.

Good god....it took me a bit to figure out the pictures. That is why black is so appealing. It is gorgeous when clean. But an hour later it looks like a coat of pollen has settled on it. Maybe when I retire......

Yes, black does show flaws and dust very easily. So if you're OCD about your vehicle like I am but don't have the time to dedicate to keeping the paint clean and nearly perfect, black isn't the color for you.

Damn, looking at that first photo, I see my driveway needed to be re-sealed.
