What happens after you've reached the bottom of the hill and the road is flat? Does the transmission upshift again?

If the dealership service dept. is not taking care of you, can you take it to another Toyota dealer? I have read some members had success going that route.
Hope you get these annoyances resolved.

My 2014 LX570 had the head unit replaced when it was less than 6 months old. Any vehicle can have problems. By the way, it had an msrp of over $82k , shit happens no matter how much the car costs.

I certainly don't use cruise control much, but I've had about 30 cars personally, and driven probably thousands while working for dealerships, I can't recall a time I had to press the gas while going down hill to maintain speed. Maybe it's not a hill you speak of, and more of a slight slope?

I had that exact same issue... after I filled the tranny (3/4 lt low), I took it in for the TSB... Problem 200% solved...!! Try that..

I am sure the entire community here is very familair with all of your vehicles in and out. Poor guy for asking a question and expressing concern for your situation...

It's a shame you are having issues. Really is. No one wants problems. However problems do arise, especially on a new truck with a new overhaul.

If a rebooting radio that toyota is going to replace, and likley more for you; is the worst thing that happens, we're in great shape.

Other makes and models suffer far worse.

However always complaining and writing up short stories to vent the same way you do to 1800 i wanna bitch about my truck to toyota isnt gonna help here.

    Its only going to "meh"...

As much as people wanna be all "im gonna wrote bad reviews cuz your fixing a problem i have to deal with" and think its going to impact the feels of toyota... it wont...

My suggestetion to you, take it or not.

Count to 10. Its not that serious. Express your concerens to toyota in a calm manner. Document everything. And when your truck is fixed, which it will liley be, tell toyota what you want to be confident in the truck again. Extra payments made by toyota for down time? Upgraded stereo maybe (made in process not after the fact)? And be happy with a great truck.

Otherwise, go complain on a ram forum. Maybe about your truck rusting out. I think you cant get nearly 40% pff msrp right now.

The transmission TSB should fix the cruise control issue...there is another TSB for random radio reboots. Search on here for both of them so you can print them out and take them to the dealer. I think it is possible that your sunroof was a dealer add-on and not factory but I am not sure. Some options are not available on the long bed; even though it makes no sense for them not to be.

    No video... fails at internet.

    And clearly life as well.

Grow a pair first, and stop acting like a child. Im starting to see where the real problems are with this truck.

My truck drives like that normally when driving over hills. Drops into 4th gear and stays in gear longer than any other vehicle I've ever driven when I hold the peddle at the same position with out adjusting throttle. Don't you think you are over analyzing the cruise control. One you don't use control on hills because it kills gas mileage and I don't know anyone that does besides you now which is fine, personnel preference. Second you keep mentioning programming of the shift points on the tacoma like you help write the program. Not once have I heard you mention anything about the atkinson cycle possible effecting shift points which is a major component of this engine design over any other engines you ever driven. I'm not claiming the atkinson cycle program required to operate is affecting your cruise control concerns but to come here and complain about programming with out understand every design condition of the engine and transmission is literally you just throwing a tantrum. Also mechanics don't start looking into the problem where a customer points out... They have a checklist to follow because their work isn't free so they have to plan the most efficient way to solve a problem. Toyota is still a company that at the end of the day has to make money.

That's funny because when I take a 600 mile road trip on interstate five from Oregon to California I put my cruise control on the entire length of the trip that's what it is for I'm sorry you don't use cruise control. Do you need driving lessons? If so I'd be more than willing to help you out with that!

The more you post the smarter you apear. Please keep these very insightful, well thought replys coming. The wit and irony you are able to portray is amazing. It's no wonder so many people are biting at the bit to help you. Toyota included.

Im so impressed by how much of a bad ass you are. Wow...
