So, I guess that means we will never see the compression test results?

If they performed them I'd like to see them but really irrelevant at this point.

I know it's irrelevant, I'm just saying that I find it hard to believe. So far the dealer hasn't really made a solid arugument about the motor being blown up.

I guess according to some here I should go to the adjuster and ask "Why are you paying this goddamit?"

Never said you should care... just stated that it seemed fishy and I have issues with just blindly beleiving someone without an acutal good explanation with evidence. I'm glad your insurance is taking care of it.

If you paid attention to this thread then your question was already answered. I questioned everything.

Read this thread from page one and nearly from the beginning many had suggested to inquire about getting the damn compression test. Yet even before the positive resolution from the insurance company the test was never performed.

It would drive me nuts if a dealer claimed my truck needed a major expensive repair without a comprehensive report as to why. Just saying.

    Congrats on good results though.

When I asked if compression tests were done the service manager's response was "that is troubleshooting 101" whatever that means.

You have to understand the situation. The truck was there at the dealer. I was waiting for the adjuster's opinion. I was not going to drive it anywhere when the dealer was warning me major failure and armageddon is imminent. My strongest position at the time was to follow the dealer's advice and wait for the adjuster.
