2016+ Tacoma Raptor Lights kit

It's for looks.

 

Mainly looks. But it if they are bright enough they increase your visibility to oncoming traffic... even better

If these are the tacomapro, then yes just installed a couple of days ago.

 

Can only speak on 3rd gen, but yeah I had to take mine out. Super easy though for 3rd gen.

I will say the instructions on this were a little confusing. And I’m 98% sure they gave me a screw that was too small for the center bracket mount. I ended up just winging it. Wish they’d post a install video

 

I'm looking for some lights that will mount directly into the grille, a lot like the Raptors lights do. Has anyone found an oval amber light that will fit inside the holes of the Pro Grille?

I just received my new Raptor Light Kit from Tacoma Pros in the mail yesterday! Looks like a neat well made kit...and will be a fun learning experience as this will be the first auto wiring job I have ever done. I will post some pictures when I get around to getting it done!

 

I will agree with you on these points. The instructions are a bit confusing and an install video would certainly help a great deal!

 

Just finished installing the TacomaPros raptor lights. Pretty easy. Only question I have is where people are tapping into? I just used the fuse tap and ran it into the interior of the truck, but want the raptor lights to turn on when I turn on my DRLs. Any suggestions on how to make this happen?

 

I thought folks were just direct taping into their DRLs. No fuses or power sources.

 

Yeah I suppose I could tap into the DRL harness...any idea of which colored wire it is?

 

Move the fuse tap to the top left fuse... ignore the arrow

Don't quote me on this but I think it was a purple wire.

There was a youtube tutorial about this and that's what the guy said but I have to look for the vid.

 

How would you run these to a cab switch?

 

Yeah I can run them to the drl or blinkers but would like to just run them to a cab switch so I can turn them on/off whenever I want
