    Looking forward to the 2nd Gen Ridgeline when it comes out in 2016 as a hybrid/gas truck with 30 mpg highway :thumbsup: As long as it's ugly as the 2016 Tacoma I'll be happy.

    I believe it would be. I don't think Toyota will leave a 10+ year old engine in it's new gen of Tacomas.

    A lot of people have been mentioning some new injection technology that should make the MPG go up. Maybe even a smaller V6 like 3.5 or 3.6L.

    Toyota hasn't said anything specific to tranny or motor, but Bill Fay head of toyota has stated that th tacoma will have a full redesign.

    Whether that means a brand new motor or a carry over from another vehicle. Certainly not the same motor the tacoma has had for the last 10 years.
