I fucking LOVE IT. Hated it first but when i saw one in person for the first time, i fell in love.

And it makes sense because that updated 4.0 seems to do better with all that extra air that the updated front end is giving it.

I would get one in a heart beat if I didn't already have LT and an SC waiting around for a new 4x4

Same, although I think the previous front end looked mean as hell, this one still looks better than most other SUVs.

That only problem I have with the 4runner is the front bumper clearance sucks, AND adding an aftermarket bumper would definitely require hacking that thing up.

So you'd rather die over your choice of a non existent vehicle versus a 4runner?

The approach and departure angles of the 2010-2013 were absolutely horrible from the factory....the trail model was decent though.

They definitely did better with the 2014 bumpers. Just the fact that its x1010161015101 easier to hand wash the front end tells me that its up higher, is designed better, and has better angles

For the most part the companies that are making armor for them aren't requirering hacking the front up. Here's a pic of the piece shrockworks uses

    And here's my wife's 2010 with a budbuilt bumper.

From what we've seen, the new Tacoma will basically have the exact same frame. If that's the case then you should be able to use the LT components on the new one. The only downside would be you'd be waiting a while for fenders. If it's a +2" kit and the fenders and flares are close to the current model, you may be able to cut the fenders and flares the same way guys are doing it now.

Im still betting same frame, same components and same drivetrain minus maybe a 6 speed. Will just have creature comforts and a different exhaust note, exterior cues.

Well, the new 4runner has almost the exact same components as well, except the LCA bushing/mounts are slightly larger from what I hear, I really don't want to try to change something designed for another vehicle. And no matter what the new Tacoma looks like, I absolutely refuse to buy a new generations 1st version. I'm down to pick up a 15 and make it how I want it and then in 10 years start bitching about the 3rd gens and how much they suck because I don't have one.

Also, I've got 5k of supercharger sitting in my garage thst only fits on a Tacoma and I'm not gonna try to resell and fuck around with a new vehicle and all that noise.

Exact reason I bought my 15 knowing the 16 was coming.

JFChrist I hope the 2016 Tacoma doesn't suck. My '14 Ram with 8500 miles on it is already letting diesel exhaust in to the cab, brakes squeak, 4wd acted up tonight, and I noticed also tonight that I have oil in my freaking coolant overflow tank  Time to abandon ship. I'm already desensitized to "I told you so".

We told you so :D Seriously though that sucks you got issues like oil in the coolant already and 4wd acting up on 2014 Ram. I have worked on a few Chrysler vehicles especially the Dodge trucks, what a PITA and the engineering on some of their stuff. You're welcome back anytime ;)

Don't feel bad my roomie's 2013 had electrical issues 6 months after he drove it off the lot and he's a repeat customer from his 2003 that had a bad tranny, water pump, etc. I made a bad choice earlier this year buying a GM (2014 Sierra) and realized I made a bad decision within hours of driving off, so glad to be back in my 2015 Tacoma.

The 12th is the day my spring semester starts. How will I pay attention in class? I might just erupt with joy (in my pants) upon viewing the 2016 Taco
