I think it would be a waste of time on a normal, daily use vehicle. I can see it in a race engine where the smallest improvement in power can decide between first and second place.

    Thanks OP!

Got mine done in 2 hours start to finish... 90 minutes on the drivers side 30 on the passenger. All in all actually not to bad for a modern vehicle. Nothing like the 20 minutes my old pickup with carb'd 22R.... But tolerable.

My ex gf has some Hyundai SUV, the upper intake manifold has to be removed to gain access to the rear 3 spark plugs, terrible design IMHO.

My dealer quoted $588 if not done with the 60k service.
    Thanks for posting this.
I’ll order the plugs and do this myself.

found a great deal on plugs at a dealer local to me, but they do a ton of online business and with shipping is still cheaper than Amazon

Old vs new at ~62k. They look fine to me still but I'm no expert.20190713_073659.jpg7314641314979994968_PerfectlyClear.jpg 20190713_073742.jpg7044605849524422162_PerfectlyClear.jpg 20190713_073659.jpg7314641314979994968_PerfectlyClear.jpg

One tool I don't see is a spark plug wire with a rubber boot . It really helps to install plugs NOT cross threaded to use one . With OUT one it is really easy to cross thread plugs. I think you did well, but any next times, and I know it won't be Uncle's for a very long time .

So how many miles on them? How did they look ?

Thank you OP, I’ll be using this guide when I get to mine. Now I have a game plan. Will probably do them in another 10k miles.

Probably due to difference in electrode design.
