2016 tacoma stalling

I have a 2016 Tacoma it stalling when I take off. I've came close to getting into a few accidents because it stalled when I turned in front of oncoming traffic. Gets bad gas mileage 10-14 highway.

 

Then take it to the dealer

 

And what are you looking for from this forum?

 

It's not stalling (not sure as I'm not there) but likely downshifting/delay before it surges in RPMs, its a quirk of the original transmission software. Take it to the dealer and ask for the transmission TSB to be performed, should be good from there.

Not sure if the new Tacomas even have power steering pressure sensors....but I've had older vehicles that would stall due to faulty or disconnected PS pressure switches....the bad gas mileage makes me think you've got other issues though.

 

Crank position sensor? I had a car that did the same thing your describing, and that's what it was.

 

If it is stalling with a manual transmission it is probably the driver not the Truck.

He's not trolling. He was just looking for his diary and accidentally ended up on TW.

 

It's a automatic I've taken it to the dealer more times than I can count they tried reseting transmishion one time and after that sad nothing they could do because it's not showing any codes I was hoping someone else had this problem before and knew what to do. You can hold the gas to the floor and it want do anything till it decides to take off again something comes up on screen but can't read it because I have the steering wheel turned in the way every time don't stay up long

 

Call Toyota Corporate and if possible try a different dealer- and write down details- date, time and name of everyone you deal with, and what they tell you. Good luck.

 

So 4 posts and 2 of them are the same but dup thread? Wow... Hey OP, the 10-14 mpg thing should have been a sign something ain't right with your truck.... the stalling should be an affirmation something is wrong with truck.

Using some amount of logic here... new truck has 36K FREE warranty.

What would you do after reading the above sentence?
