Maybe your shoes are too wide and you are pressing the brake and the gas at the same time.

Very good advice, keep detailed records, try different dealers, and get corporate involved.

From experience, when dealing with anyone about anything, the best way to get their full attention is ask "what is your name?"and write it down. On the phone, ask them to spell it. You have elevated your issue in their mind, from shuffling papers to something that will potentially come back and bite them if they don't do their job properly. Carrying a notebook and using it is also a subtle way of letting them know that you mean business.

What is displayed when it stalls is "Brake and Accelerator depressed simultaneously". Which is not since obviously you are trying to take off and not get ran over. Mine foes the same thing every now and then and a unnerving. Dealer can simulate unless they drive it for a month.

Wow, never seen someone trashed on so much for posting about a problem with their truck on this forum. Seems to be a common occurrence in the 3rd gen section too. Hopefully the rest of this forum doesn't follow suit.

Problem Is some folks creating troll account to shit on 3rd gens. For some reason, some just want to make them look like crap, while others just want to start shit.

Are you serious? Have you been cavedwelling for the past 18 months? This thread is tame compared the the shitfests that have peremiated the 3rd gen forum, although more under control lately. And from what I see, most of the shitposting is done by members who don't own a 3rd gen.
    Ok, here we go

That's not really a good thing.
Haven't been cave dwelling, just don't have a reason to visit the 3rd gen section, but have been on the forums more often as of recently, and every now and then a title for a thread catches my eye. This is the third one I've seen where a guy posted a problem and got trashed for no reason. Kind of pathetic really. I've seen threads of people doing something that reflects badly towards the TW forum and get reamed, chastised, and left for dead. Yet it appears this is acceptable business if it's been going on for 18 months. Guess I'll just avoid the 3rd gen section until more adults buy them and offer up worthwhile reading.

The OP has a post count of 4 - 2 of them are the exact same thing but 2 different threads... OP is gone and almost forgotten. I'm not going to say the T-word but if the shoe fits as they say!

Why would you be driving a brand new truck with that particular problem and posting on TW for a fix..everyone said to take it to the dealer... somehow the OP took it to the dealer and could not replicate.... suspicious.

All the dealer would have to look at is the MPGs - its logged for every tank of gas ever.... again suspicious. Either the OP needs a new man card and get on the dealers ass or the dealership sucks complete incompetence....probably not the dealer incompetence.

It's not the adults that are the issue, is the combination of the entitled and punks that keep making the 3rd gen the war zone.

Maybe he's made two different threads because he got little knowledgeable help. Gone and almost forgotten? Maybe he doesn't live online like you, or was ran off by the amazing welcome party.

"Why would you be driving a brand new truck with that particular problem and posting on TW for a fix..everyone said to take it to the dealer."
This is about the dumbest thing I've ever read. You can't be serious. Look at the countless threads about very common 3rd gen issues and some less common. Transmission, howl, vibration/shake in steering, diff explosion, etc... You think all those people have failed to go to the dealer? People have an issue, go to dealer, dealer can't fix, so they resort to the forums. Happens all the time. There are plenty of 2nd gen problems that are easy fixes that the dealer won't touch. Hence why people ask after they go to dealer. To see if someone else has the same issue and a fix. Might as well shut the forums down if we can't ask questions about problems.

Get on that "Dealer's ass" and get a new man card. So after he "gets on that ass" and they can't find a problem, what's he suppose to do? Demand they look again, demand a new truck, what?? I always find it funny when people act tough talking about a dealership like they have any sort of power. The dealer and Toyota can, and have in the past, told customers to pound sand with their problems, and there's not a single thing you or your impressive "man card" can do about it.
