2016 Tacoma/Thule bedrack and problemsome Thule XK3 Xsporter Adapter

    I'm in desperate need of help. I have a 2016 Tacoma and bought a Thule bedrack and
    $110 THule XK3 Thule Truck Rack Adapter Kit Silver, 2005-2014 Tacoma (XK3)
    THule XK3 Xsporter Adapter and the adapter doesnt fit. I'm in Moab now getting ready to go Kayaking with a friend on Sunday at the Colorado river. Can someon give me some helpful tips on how to make an adapter that's 1 1/2 too short fit my new truck.

    Any help would be appreciated.
