I just bought a 2016 Toyota Tacoma 3 days ago. It is the 2.7L v4 model with 4X4 and a manual transmission. I will be lifting the truck 3 inches and want to know what size rims and tires i can run without any rubbing or modifications... I will be doing away with the stock SR rims. If you have pics of your truck that would help too!

As you have the 2.7 you might want to not put the biggest tire on there. There’s a few guys on here who have put 33’s and up on there trucks an end up regretting it.

I could see that... I want the truck to sit higher with a more aggressive look/stance. I shouldn’t have said “biggest tire” in my original post.

265/75/16s looks pretty good with up to a 3 inch lift. 285s can fit to but you will probably feel the weight a little more then the 265s. I have 265/70/17s on a stock height truck and I didnt see much hit at all to power or mpgs.

How is the ride? And did you notice any major mpg changes? The truck looks awesome!

Yeah, V6/AT and I haven't really tested the MPG hit yet...performance impact has been pretty minimal from what I can tell so far, that said, I run around with the Extra Crispy Taco button on most of the time, even with the stock set up. Still pretty new though, only about 150-200 miles on this set up and most of that has been city. I have a road trip coming up this weekend though so that should give me a better idea.

This is more of what I’m leaning too... but I do not want wheel spacers... so I’m probably better off getting a pair of 16x9 rims paired with the 255/85/16’s (not exactly sure of the stock rim width)

I could be wrong but I think 9 inch wide may be pushing it with that tire I could be wrong though ive seen a good amount of 16x8 in that size tire

the ride was great til I put the bilstein 5100s on . after I put the new bilstiens on it seems to be much stiffer and jarring at times in the rear front seems to be more responsive as far as rebound when hitting bumps or r.r. tracks
