Aftermarket ones are $300ish and offer more protection than trd

Me, I'm just waiting for the hand me downs from the TRDORs :D

Pro skids coming out should make more TRDOR skids hit the TW secondhand market. Though technically my SR is only missing the rear piece if I'm not mistaken.

A new bolt here, a new bolt there, a new bolt everywhere.
For some people is the Idea of added weight but for me personally I wouldn't put much trust on an aluminum skid plate even the one off my wife's Raptor got replaced with a solid steel one

I have no plans to abuse my truck for awhile. Light off roading on hunting and fishing trips for now. Just want a little more protection for those trips than what the stock plate offers.

We will have to see how "functional" the TRD skid plate is. At $375 shipped for powder coated 1/4" aluminum TRD skid is technically only $15 more than the equivalent pelfreybilt option....RCI is around $370 shipped.

For the individuals that prefer AL+powder coating, the difference is moot, assuming that the TRD skid can handle some abuse.

The real verdict will come in due time.

If a piece of aluminum cost that much, the trd exhaust will probably cost a fortune. Holy moly.

The TRD plates are white... so add more $$ to have it powder coated a different color, say black FTW.

Nice! I like it. I am not sure if I am going to do front bumper for a while but this would be cool.. Also would be nice if RCI aluminium skids would marry up with this one.

I am definitely doing their alumin skids but like this TRD as the front one.

That was fast. I think the parts just came out this week..

Waiting on the TRD PRO Grill part to become avail..

My dealer told me they are listed on the computer for $699.00, once they become available for order, he said he'll knock-off 15%.

If you build a '17 Tacoma TRD Pro on Toyota.com the accessories page lists it for something like $799.
