I am new to this forum and have searched for the answer but I could not find a confirmed one. I am installing an aftermarket amp and sub-woofer in my truck. I want to put the amp behind the rear driver side seat. If I were to sand down the paint would this spot work?

It should be fine. To make sure grind the paint and then use a Digital Multimeter on continuity and check this spot to a known ground point (frame).

You should get a low resistance measurement (say less than 10 ohms).

Make sure that your ground wire is at least the same gauge (size) as your power wires.

Awesome thanks. Ground and power are the same gauge. I just wasn’t sure since the pointed I wanted to ground at was raised up.
