Has any one had problems with the Navigation routes that it gives you? Twice it has given very bad routing directions. Instead of going straight down the road and making 2 turns it had be going on the freeway and a much longer route in time and distance. I just had it in to the dealer and they stated everything was working normal, no upgrades needed. They could not explain the terrible routes it provided. Anyone else having problems? Thanks!

I have a 2015 with navigation and yes, on occasion the routes given to me were not the best. However, within the menu you given three route choices: quick, shortest, and alternative (I believe those are the three). Now, I typically look at a map or Google maps to get a general idea of the route I want to take.

Yes, Thanks, in this case all 3 routes were the same, very bad. I can not believe Toyota would have such a bad routing program in 2016. Really??

Was it rerouting due to traffic?

Mine takes me on some screwed up routes sometimes too. I have gone a few miles out of the way twice, now I compare it with Google before I leave.

Does the nav use the same maps as the scout app? I know it doesn't use the same app on the phone since it's built in but I wonder if its the same maps. I've noticed the scout app sucks balls. It has given me backwards ass ways versus Waze and Google Maps that give correct routes.

Not sure what app it uses. It sounds like it is just a bad bad navigation system. Who would think Toyota would have such a crappy system???

It should with an adopter according to their web site. But It would be best to ask and contact them directly if interested.

    "Android (Wireless)
(Android device with MHL output require the following parts sold separately to complete the installation)
    - Wireless Display HDMI adapter with Miracast (NETGEAR Push2TV / PTV3000)

Please contact us for a smartphone compatibility."

    Hope that helps

Yeah, but to tell you the truth, I paid more for my '17 pro grill and all it does is look pretty.
But at $249.00 I don't find it out of line as a garmin with lifetime updates will set you back a couple hundred easy, and IMO Google is the best in precise turn by turn directions.

    Cheers!
