Yes, I'd love to see the part where it says port/plant: Otay Mesa, CA/TMMBC, meaning it was built in Mexico and brought into the country at Otay Mesa.

This is the internet, all victories are meaningless and hollow, as are the losses. The internet never forgets, but it also moves on quite quickly, so don't sweat it. Hope the dealer sorts out your leaking 3rd quickly and painlessly.

Don't show them the VIN. They can use it to steal your identity

    Now that that is sorted.

Op, your pic indicates classic evidence of a pinion seal leak. This is not an unheard of failure for any vehicle regardless of make or age. Relatively easy fix with almost no chance of long term damage if corrected in a timely manner. They'll fix it under warranty and you'll be fine. Enjoy your new truck.

    LS1 swap with nitros.
Exactly. Take it in, expect another pos rental, and they will get it fixed. Be glad you caught the leak now.

And I believe lemon law requires 3-4 fix attempts for the SAME problem. A CEL for something else is an entirely different issue here.

Enjoy the truck. Putting together thousands of parts on thousands of vehicles is bound to result in a small defect here and there, even if you are Toyota and have 6 sigma quality systems.

have had several Toyota vehicles in the pass and moved up to Lexus, never had a problem like this with so little miles on it. only 3k miles.
I opened a case with Toyota, talked to the Case Manager- but she doesnt give a rats ass with her stupid mono tone voice. Then they forwarded to the customer relations manager at the stealership- all of a sudden she's no where to be found( on vacation). Brought it in Saturday morning, the big boss service manager says he will personally take care of it and they updated Monday-Tuesday since they have to order parts. Got me a Yukon rental for the mean time. Tuesday rolls along and no miss calls or voicemail, So called and check with them and they said the parts have not arrived and its going to be next week. I said WTF so its going to be all this week and until next week but un sure? Ok bye (b*tch) Called Toyota Corp. put me on hold for 15 mins, updated the parts are there and should be done by tomorrow (Wednesday). phone call to Toyota Corp and bam all of a sudden the parts arrived after they have closed for the day.

Left the service manager a voicemail - I will personally come in tomorrow 7am sharp (going to rip you a new a**hole) in front of everyone!

lol wat? its a leaky seal, no reason to add a whole new 3rd.

but i will say they do need to be careful on replacing it, as you can mess with the preload on it
