    I have an "09" v6 4x4

    I think you "nailed" it, it is what it is, I am well in my senior years & have had many trucks & of them all, even with it's shortcomings the Tacoma is my favorite, If a more "beefy" engine & suspension were available I think it would drive off any competition. jmop (and I think Toyota knows that! looking forward to the new ones)
