Man it sounds like most of the people in this thread need to trade their third gens in for a 1996 Tacoma and swap the engine for a carbureted one with how much you guys seem to hate incremental upgrades.

I believe the question you should really ask your own damn self is: Why wouldn't I want to stay in a truck that was totaled at my own doing and yet I'm still here?" If you liked your '16, you'll love the new trucks, but as with any consumer product, changes/improvements are inevitable. As for a used option, refer to your descriptive concerning a phone charger.

OP: get a low mile 2017 Pro or OR owned by someone who never used it offroad or at least just lightly. You will be much happier.

If I were buying again I’d get a low mileage used magnetic gray color and put a bunch of black wheels and grill and tint the windows etc. Anything but white.

2020 Might be worth it if the power seats are height adjustable.

Funny, I think white looks best with blacked out rims, emblems and tint. Different strokes for different folks

2020 headlights are LED, headunit has a verizon sim card in it to track you, worse backup camera, better parking sensor display, black lug nuts and lock on pro.

Also the engine/transmission tuning on the 2020s seem to be different.
Compared to my 2017, it was responsive and did not hunt for gears as much.

Are you kidding me?! I swear, the day is coming soon when they’ll be taking off the steering wheel! I’m definitely driving mine to the ground for sure, I’m just hoping something else doesn’t ever happen to it.

    Sorry for your loss, OP.:pout:

Ok so I have my sights set on a 2020 voodoo blue sport. I don't care for the Toyota leather seats. My 2016 fabric seats with customized katskinz were the shit! Felt better in ergo & feel(full-grain leather) and really made interior pop with color. The sales guy is trying to say with the JBL/moonroof it cant come with fabric. Am I wrong to call BS on that? Also all the trucks on the lot seemed to be already tinted to "legal" standards, but I want to go darker obviously. They aren't coming from the factory like that, are they? Also, I miss the color-key interior trim bits. I did a quick search but didn't find much about anything of people changing them out, thought I would be able to find more.
